The company is being bought out by another bigger company. We work in a small office with only about a dozen employees. Two people lost their jobs and everyone is stressed. Will we be next? I gave I choose Peace wristbands to everyone in my office. Worrying was making some people sick and there were arguments where before we all got along pretty well. I figured it was worth a shot. People liked the idea! It unites us and give us all a focus when we start to stress - even about stuff outside of work. We remind each other,"Choose peace!"

I work at a very busy doctor's office. It is really hectic and stressful and sometimes people are not patient. But I try to be nice and I have to be polite. Sometimes it is very hard when people are angry, even rude in what they say, but one day a patient after seeing me put four people on hold as I had so many incoming phone calls, gave me the kindness card.  I saw that someone appreciated me - few people ever seem to say thank you or even hello. This card helped me to feel more patient with others the rest of the day - even the week. I am going to buy more cards to give out to patients who seemed stressed and are patient, because I know a lot of our patients are in really poor health.

I gave the healer card to my doctor. He has made an enormous difference in my quality of life over the past year and is the first to really discover and treat successfully what was wrong with me. My thyroid!  When I gave him the card, he was very moved and said,"This is why I am in medicine. To help people. Not the money."  He was very moved and touched his heart. It was very rewarding to me to have him appreciate this heartfelt thank you.

I work in a nursing home. It's a tough job and I have so many patients to care for. Some people don't have any one visit them at all. Those are the ones I really feel sorry for. I try to be patient and kind amd treat these people as if they were my own grandparents. But it is hard, physical work and very sad sometimes. And I don't make much money as. Yesterday the sister of an old lady whose been here for about 6 months - she visits almost every day though most days her sister doesn't know who she is- gave me the card from your website about what a tough job I have, but I do it with love. I was so tired but when I got that card, it was like I got more energy!

I work at fast food drive-up window. It's not a glamourous job, but I can't find another since I graduated college. People often just talk on the cell phones or ignore me. I try to be friendly, and some people are but many are not and it's hard. Sometimes it gets to me. Tuesday, a driver gave me a "Your kindness changed my day card" and it changed my attitude! It was weird, but after that I felt like all the customers were nicer to me on my shift! I gave the card to my dental hygienist later that week,as I am scared of the dentist and she was so calming.

There was a long line at the check-out and customers were very cranky and rude. I was feeling nervous and frustrated. Then a woman gave me a "Your kindness changed my day card" and I felt so much better! A smile came to my face and I felt more patient. Thank you.

I was standing by my car in the parking lot of the local supermarket observing a well dressed man loading his groceries into his car from his cart.  The same activity was taking place at the car next to his by a mother with several small children.  As he turned back to return his cart to the front of the store, he offered to take his neighbor’s cart back, too, which he did with a happy bounce to his step.  When he returned, I walked up to him and gave him the Peace It Forward card that says, “Your kindness changed my day… Thank You!  After he read the card, his radiant smile filled us both with appreciation.  Afterward, I realized that the joy of that exchange lingered strongly in my consciousness and I found myself eagerly expecting another act of kindness to appear.  Shortly after this realization, I was pulling some loose change from my pocket and two crumpled dollars fell out without me knowing it.  A nice lady passing by instinctively brought the loose bills to my attention, saving me anguish.  I rewarded her kindness with the same “kindness” card and again shared a powerful moment of satisfying appreciation with a total stranger.

Thank you, Peace It Forward, for the tools to express appreciation for even the smallest good deeds!  I feel like I am making a difference in using them and would love to know what other kind acts these two cards will reward as they are passed along.
